Hunter ‘King Cass’ Wilson, raised in Christchurch, NZ and now residing in the small town of Foxton describes himself as one that stands with passion, purpose and potential. He grew up amongst a musical family and took an interest in Hiphop culture from a very young age. It was inevitable that his creativity would find a home within his art and music in his later years, thus spawning the foundations of the King Cass Movement which includes a strong discography of hard hitting tunes with a message of hope that resonates and connects with his established fanbase referred to as the #cassfam.

In 2024 King Cass set out on a 15 show Music and Motivation tour of New Zealand where his aim was to unite the Hip Hop scene and tap into the local artists in each town he performed. Those connections are powerful when everyone has the same goal in mind. Schools and organisations were some of the stops whilst on tour, where Hunter delivered his message not only through live performance but through his self-discovery journey 'The Awakening (From Dark To Light)'. These mental health presentations are a one man show with a powerful message of hope that aims to bring unity, inspire change & raise awareness around topics at the forefront of the community.
After the 2023 release of "Old Days'' the self titled 5 track EP reached number 2 on the Official NZ Music Charts. In recent years, King Cass has been focusing his genre releases with a Drill influence but changing the script and drilling his message into his songs with a positive spin. No stranger to the grind and hustle, King Cass has grown his loyal #cassfam through social networking, positive engagement, curating music for the people, and speaking to them from the heart.
Now a seasoned traveller across New Zealand/Australia, King Cass is no stranger to the stage. In 2021, he completed his first national tour titled ‘Yes We Next’ alongside fellow Making a Statement artist Dilz. 2022 he was invited to tour Australia as a support act for the international rap duo, Onyx. He is a regular crowd hyper on the NZ Spirit Festival, performed at the 2024 Wingman Festival and kicked off 2025 with a set at the Summer Frequencies festival. Not to mention his extensive line up of mental health awareness shows across the nation. "The opportunities are endless when you manifest and put your mind to it" says Hunter. With the purpose of unleashing the truth and daring anyone listening to keep speaking up about their feelings, music is a way to help the people, then this is his mission through the King Cass Movement while continuing to build the #cassfam (creating a safe space) and exploring new global territories with his music and multimedia shows.
